Tawa Cove is completely remote with no nearby restaurants or dining options.
After a day exploring the Marlborough Sounds or walking the Queen Charlotte Track, put your feet up, unwind and enjoy our delicious Tawa Cove meals delivered right to your cabin.
Dinners need to be pre-ordered. All Tawa Cove Meals are delivered to your accommodation.
BBQ Packs, Breakfast & Self-Catering
We also offer a self-cook BBQ Pack option for guests to dine at their leisure. These must be pre-order please.
Breakfast
We offer a range of breakfast provisions available for purchased on-site at reception, or you're welcome to bring your own supplies. Start your morning at your own pace with breakfast in your cabin.
Breakfast items available for purchase include: Bacon, Eggs, Bread, Cereals, Milk, Butter, Spreads, Pancake mix, Mushrooms, Sausages, etc
Self-catering
For those who prefer to self-cater, especially during extended stays, you are welcome to bring your own provisions. Groceries and a small cooler can accompany you on the water taxi.
The cabins 1, 2 & 3 have kitchenettes with basic cooking facilities, sizeable fridge-freezer, indoor cooktop, microwave & everything you need for simple self-catering. BBQs are also available for guests to enjoy a relaxed meal outdoors.
If you're staying in The Shanty, you can use our communal kitchen to prepare your meals. The Shanty does not have its own kitchen facilities.
Lunch Packs
Heading out for the day on the Queen Charlotte Track or exploring the Marlborough Sounds? Pre-order a lunch pack to take with you.
Because of our remote location and the limited availability of produce—delivered exclusively by boat—we kindly ask that you email or fill out form below with your dinner selections, along with any lunch pack requests, at least four days prior to your stay so we can plan accordingly.

We hope we can provide meals for most dietary requirements; however, we cannot guarantee allergen free meals with respect to preparation areas, toasters etc. Please discuss with us if required.
Communal Kitchen
Our covered outdoor communal kitchen is available for all staying guests, and is particularly handy for guests staying in The Shanty.
If you’re looking to self-cater or prepare your own meals, the communal kitchen has everything you need. It’s also a great space for larger groups travelling together and Queen Charlotte Track walkers to prepare meals, relax in front of the fire, or enjoy a game of darts.
It’s a relaxed, social space where you can cook, unwind and enjoy the surroundings.
