Situated in Endeavour Inlet, Queen Charlotte Sound, Tawa Cove is your slice of paradise away from it all.
Accessible only by boat or walking/biking via the Queen Charlotte Track. We are approx. 4.5 hours from the start of the track, Ship Cove, making us the ideal first night stay.
With no close neighbours, we offer the perfect place for relaxing & soaking up the serenity, having a drink by the waterside, or you may like to be more active & enjoy hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, or paddle boarding. All of which are available for your use.
Whether it be an overnight stay while walking the track, a weekend getaway arriving by boat, or a group fishing trip for a week, we aim to make your time here happy & memorable.

Cabins
Tucked away in the native bush hillside, our three self-contained solid timber cabins are steps away from our private waterfront & jetty.
The cabins are located in close proximity to our waterfront home so whilst you have your privacy of a self-contained cabin, we are always available as your hosts for anything you may require. Equally, if you would rather "do your own thing" we won't bother you either ;)

Food & Drink
We offer a selection of options for Food & Drink at Tawa Cove. Complimentary continental breakfast is included in your rate. We have a simple menu for dinner of Burgers or Fish n Chips, along with a selection of beer, wine, & non alcoholic drinks for purchase. You may also like to bring your own food & self cater. Your water taxi can drop a small chilly bag along with your luggage which we can then pop in your cabin fridge. BBQ's are on each cabin deck for your use. Groceries can be ordered & delivered here for self catering if desired for longer stays. Have a chat to us for any other food options you may require.
Queen Charlotte Track
The Marlborough Sounds is a playground for activites or purely relaxing & taking in the amazing natural surroundings. The Queen Charlotte Track is walked by thousands of people each year, whether it be the whole 73km or short day walks.
Getting here
No roads here! Access is by boat only or via the Queen Charlotte Track, walking or biking. There are some great scheduled service water taxis, as well as on demand options.
